Day 245 : Last day in Cornwall and a walk to Cligga Head. Here the Variscan St Agnes Granite (on the left) intrudes into the late Devonian Gramscatho Group (upper to the right). The intrusion drives a geothermal system and there are extensive tin mine workings on the cliff top.
Day 244 : Back in St Ives, Cornwall. These are metamorphosed basalts with relict pillows from the Devonian Mylor Slate Formation.
Day 243 : A visit today to the Eden Project, Cornwall, built in a former china clay quarry so a slab of Cornish granite used in the Mediterranean biodome seems appropriate.
Day 242 : Visiting Mevagissey in Cornwall. Here the mid-late Devonian Porthscatho Formation is exposed around the harbour.
Day 241 : On the beach at Perranporth, Cornwall. This is the Chapel Rock made of mid-late Devonian Gramscatho Group sandstones.

Day 238 : On holiday in Cornwall. This is the coral limestone plinth of a sculpture in the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden in St Ives, Cornwall, UK.
