Day 85 : Marble from Edwards, Grenville Province, Adirondacks, NY, USA. Keele collection.

Day 84 : In the field at Brownend Quarry, Waterhouses, Staffordshire. This is the Lower Carboniferous Milldale Limestone. It is a fore-reef slope deposit and the block of reef limestine at the top of the cliff is inverted.

Day 81 : Charnockite (orthopyroxene bearing granite) from the Grenville Province, Adirondacks, New York State, United States. Keele Collection.

Day 77 : Out in the field this weekend to Wenlock Edge. Here is a patch reef margin in Lea Quarry, near Much Wenlock, Shropshire, England. Wenlockian, Silurian obviously.
