Day 316 : London visit included a building stones tour.  This is the Portland “Bowers Roach” with its impressive fossil moulds, used as facing stone at Green Park tube station.

Day 315 : Weekend in London. This sculpture by Emily Young is outside the Neo buildings on Bankside behind Tate Modern. She works with blocks of travertine from hot springs on the side of Monte Amiata, Italy’s second highest volcano, in Tuscany.

Day 314 : Chrysoberyl (beryllium aluminium oxide) from the Ural Mountains in the Perm province of Russia. Cotton Collection, Keele.

Day 313 : Polianite (pyrolusite [manganese oxide] pseudomorph after manganite) from Horní Blatná (Bergstadt Platten), Karlovy Vary Region, Bohemia, Czech Republic. Cotton collection, Keele.

Day 312 : Dundasite (hydrated lead aluminium carbonate) from the Welsh Foxdale Mine, Llanrwst, Gwydyr Forest area, Conwy, Wales. Cotton collection, Keele.

Day 311 : Alstonite (barium carbonate) on calcite from the Fallowfield Mine, Acomb, Hexham, Northumberland, England.  Cotton collection, Keele 

Day 310 : Hydrocerussite (hydrated lead carbonate) from Shepton Mallet (probably Torr Works Quarry, Cranmore) Somerset, England.  Cotton collection, Keele.

Day 309 : Calcite from the Robinson Mine, Treece, Picher Field, Tri-State District, Cherokee Co., Kansas, USA. Cotton collection, Keele.

Day 308 : Plumbocalcite (calcite with some lead substituting calcium) from Wanlockhead, Dumfries, Scotland. Cotton collection, Keele.
