Rock 366 : Day 60 : Granitic Pegmatite

Day 60 : Today is February 29, putting the 366 in Rock366. So today I have my favourite sample and the only one currently displayed in my office.  It is a granite pegmatite with huge feldspar and biotite crystals. It was collected on a Keele field course to Norway in 1991 from the Narestø Feldspar Quarry, Flosta Island, Arendal, Aust-Agder, Norway. My other sample of this was featured on Day 300 of Rock365.
