Rock 366 : Day 4 : Mylonitic Gneiss
Day 4 : Some folds for the rest of the week. This is a kink fold in a mylonite fabric. The mylonite is from the Kvitenut Gneiss Complex of the Hardargevidda Nappe System in Hordaland, S.W. Norway. The rock dates from around 1.65Ga and was deformed during the Caledonian Orogeny in the Upper Silurian. Keele Collection.
