Day 176 : Still in the Fforest Fawr Geopark in South Wales. Water percolates through limestone quarry waste and then precipitates calcium carbonate tufa as it emerges from springs. 

Day 175 : Back in the field, this time on Black Mountain, South Wales. This is the Lower Carboniferous Dowlais Limestone in Herbert’s Quarry in the Fforest Fawr Geopark.
