Day 269 : This is Alton Stone aka Hollington Fm aka Lower Keuper Sandstone aka Bromsgrove Sandstone Fm.  Who says British stratigraphy isn't confusing? This exposure is from the top of Toot Hill, opposite Alton Towers, Staffordshire. The white spots are barite crystals.
